Hibiscus sabdariffa plant is perennial subshrub, while in cold zones is grown as annual. It is commonly called Roselle, rosella fruit etc.
Roselle has many uses in folk medicine as a diuretic and mild laxative , in cuisine as food colouring, syrup etc.
H. sabdariffa bears red stems and leaves are either trilobite or pentalobate.
Its flowers yellowish-white base with red and fleshy sepals .
H. sabdariffa blossoms from August to October.
It is used also for the manufacture of fiber from its stems.
