Anemone tomentosa is a herbaceous, dense perennial plant that can be easily grown. It has usually height 60-90 cm., but it can reach 1.5 meters. It is also called Japanese Anemone.
Japanese Anemone flowering period is from end of summer until middle Autumn (August-October) . Flowers are pale pink color with darker shadings and the core displays a ring of yellow stamens.
Anemone tomentosa prefers moist, fertile, well-drained humus soils, in sunny or semi-shaded positions. The soil should not dry out .
The foliage may burn at very dry, warm environment with a lot of sunshine
Bad drained soils, especially in winter, should be avoided.
We need occasional maintenance, especially in early spring, before returning in active development.
