Albizia julibrissin is a deciduous tree that can reach 10-12 m.height. Albizia julibrissin also called as Persian silk tree, Mimosa, Lenkoran acacia, pink siris etc.
It rapidly blooms during the summerand the seeds ripen during the autumn. The leaves are pinnate with 6-16 pairs of leaflets, each consisting of 30 to 30gefgi smaller. The flowers are pink aromatic and hermaphrodites. Albizia julibrissin seeds are surrounded by a hard shell which Toskeeps inactive for many years.
Mimosa can growin a wide variety of soils (even in very alkaline or saline) sufficient todrain well.
On theother hand, Mimosa cannot grow in shade. It can tolerate dry conditions and strong winds (but not near the sea)
Withstandin temperatures as low as 20oC.
